Our Principal Dentist, Nick Tomes, has run our Newton Abbot practice, in the heart of Devon, for almost 25 years. Nick trained at Guy's Hospital in London, qualifying in 1991, and worked in-house there and at the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton before moving into general practice and then taking over St Paul's.
A natural problem solver, Nick is always keen to take on a challenge, and will do everything he can to help every patient, whether their treatment needs are small and relatively minor or larger and more complex. His caring and generous nature is popular with patients, meaning in many cases several generations of the same family come to him for his expertise and many of our new patients register with us due to personal recommendation. Nick's personal ethos of hard work and friendly, cheerful approach is shared by the entire practice.
One of Nick's key areas of treatment is Dental Implants, a great solution for many patients with one or more missing teeth, as well as all aspects of dental treatment and oral healthcare. The practice also has two Associate Dentists, two Hygienists/Therapists, two Treatment Co-ordinators and a full complement of Dental Nurses and support staff.
Our Treatment Co-ordinators, Amie Laity and Rebecca James, have a combined 38 years of experience in dental health. They can offer sound, professional advice on all the options available to you and explain and oversee your treatment at all stages.
